I have the same problem initially when I started to create my 1st blog using blogger. What topic do I want to blog? It will take you sometime to think about it. FYI, my first blog is not Webmasteringtips.com. I start with a blog with something I have knowledge/familiar with. The keyword to me is we have the knowledge. However, I have removed the blog after 1 year.

Why knowledge/familiar?

Basically, with the knowledge you be able to talk more about the topic. With that your blog will be more interesting. Indirectly it will bring more traffic to your blog.

Some example like:

1) can blog about your hobby – like fishing, gardening, singing, dancing, travelling or etc .
2) can blog about collection – watch, coins, stamps or etc.
3) can blog about your experience.

Fo myself, my 1st blog is about my job. As you know I am a programmer. Hence, I think a best topic which I can blog well. To my suprised, the blog is in 1st page ranking of google search. That probably after few months I posted some of my experience in that blog.

The next question you might wanted to ask, do I make any online income with that? To be frank, yes I did. It is enough for me to buy a cup of coffee. That was from adsense.

P.S. as I mentioned that is create your 1st blog. Hence do not expect any big income. Just to gain experience your experience on how to blog.

Advantages of Paid Hosting Blog.

1) The domain name is the property of the blogger himself. S/he should not have to worry about it will be deletion by the blogging platform.

2) You have full control on your blog.
